Red Dot Design Award-Soul EV

The Kia Soul EV received a “Winner” distinction Red Dot award for its outstanding design details at the annual Red Dot Awards. The Red Dot Awards program is a highly distinguished international design competition. The program celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. Kia received its first design award from this program in 2009 and to date 13 Kia models have received Red Dot awards, as well as many other design prizes.

The Kia Soul EV received an iF Design Award in 2014 and the gas powered Soul received a Red Dot Design Award in 2014. The Kia Soul EV closely resembles the design of the second generation Kia Soul. It has a bold look and the individuality of the urban crossover. The changes made to the electric version are particularly noticeable on the front: the dimensions of the lower air inlet are slightly flatter and the radiator grille has been replaced with a fascia that conceals the charging ports.

"The cabin of the Kia Soul EV also features exceptional material and design quality. When designing this car, the aim was to grasp the specific challenges of an electric car as a fresh opportunity, and our design team has achieved this brilliantly." said Peter Schreyer, President and Chief Design Officer of the Kia Motors Corporation.
